Imortant facts MF-Maintenance-Free sliding elements
- Self-Lubricating Sliding Elements are preferable used and recommended where sliding speeds do not exceed approx. 1.5 f/s. For higher sliding speeds, additional lubrication is recommended.
- The difference in hardness between the Self-Lubricating Sliding Element and the mating material should be approx. 100 HB (15 RC). Optimum conditions are achieved when hardened and precision ground mating materials are used.
- To achieve best possible lubrication, the amount of solid lubricant (graphite) in proportion to the total sliding area should be between 25 and 35 % and arranged in an overlapped pattern in slide direction.
